John Cassidy is an eccentric comedian whose bizarre antics have earned him widespread acclaim as one of the most original and unique performers today.
Starting his career as a magician and balloon sculptor for children’s birthday parties, John began noticing that the parents were also finding his act to be especially hilarious and ingenious. Private parties, convention work and college dates soon followed for this neurotically charming performer and today he regularly plays Las Vegas, New York City and his native Philadelphia.
Further notoriety occurred for John when the Guinness Book of World Records documented him as the world’s fastest balloon sculptor when he created 529 balloons within a mere sixty minutes.† John has become a favorite of the Guinness staff not only for his talent, but also for his utmost sense of unselfish professionalism behind the scenes.† Besides John’s picture appearing prominently on page 26 of the 2005 edition, he is a crowd-pleasing attraction at many of Guinness’ special promotional events.
John has also made numerous television appearances, having appeared on such popular shows as Martha Stewart Living, NBC’s Today Show and Live With Regis and Kelly.† In addition, John was specially honored this year to perform at the White House as a guest of First Lady Laura Bush.
The world of magic has also taken a special shine to John where he is among the most requested acts at various magic conventions throughout the world.
John currently resides in the rural outskirts of Philadelphia with his wife Jennifer, an Alaskan Malamute (Ginger), two bunnies (Samantha and Tabitha), and two doves (both named Steve). |
