This is one wave you have to catch. Two of Amsterdam’s native sons, Jan van Kammen and Jasper van Luit, have combined magic, juggling and illusion to create a spectacle of sand, surf and sex appeal -- a show that makes unparalleled artistry seem like a day at the beach! Wet Illusions, their recent production based on these themes, had lots of success during the 2003 World Convention of Magic and at the World Magic Seminar in Las Vegas. Since then, MagicWave has found a worldwide audience ready to soak in the rays, turn up the tunes, and lose themselves in a up-tempo fantasy of good vibrations.

MagicWave history

MagicWave was founded by Jasper van Luit, born in1975 and Jan van Kammen, 1977. They both come from Amsterdam.

For years Jan and Jasper were members of the children circus Elleboog and gained a lot of experience in the field of stage performance, juggling and especially magic. They were also members of the Magic Circle Amsterdam and the Noord-Hollandse Bond voor Goochelaars and the Magic Art Center.

In 1988 they performed with the Junior Magic Show during the World Championships in Magic. Because of their success they were invited to perform in Puerto Rico (U.S.), Austria, Luxembourg and England. At a young age they were continuously in the spotlight and had frequent media exposure.

In 1994 Jan and Jasper experimented with a new stage act concept. This performance had a huge impact on the other magicians because of its original and unique style. The positive reactions encouraged them to develop it further. As a result they became Dutch champions in Magic at senior level at the age of 17 and 18. After this success they were asked to perform at the international gala show of the German Convention of Magic.

In 2000 Jan en Jasper founded MagicWave.
With Jasper as graduated Communication Speciallist and with Jan’s training Physical Theater in California, they created together with their passion for surfing, sun and magic the show Wet Illusions.

With the brand new show Wet Illusions Jan and Jasper performed at the World championships of Magic 2003. The reactions of colleagues and agents were overwhelming, everyone was surprised by their way of working. Finally they achieved the dream, traveling the world and sharing their magic.
